CI109: Unlike SIEST, “rad-pop.” is an album about what people have been through rather than who put them through it. Lyrically, it is honest and hopeful, with a hint of reckless abandon. The album is full of singles and sing-alongs as well as thoughtful and mature compositions that tackle the difficulties of growing up in challenging times. Songs like “Free”, “Flutter”,  and “Straight to Hell” offer tongue-in-cheek commentary on the engagement of people with the politics of today, while songs like “A Little Time”, “The Mountain”, and “Start” focus on the value of love and friendship.
